Usually, you must have the correct O’level subject combination and the department’s direct entry requirements.

You can abandon your program and apply to study Nursing via JAMB.
Please don’t abandon your program. Please finish it up and then apply for Direct Entry into Nursing in any University. The experience you will have as a Registered Midwife cannot not be compared to those who just started out from Year in the University and are meeting you in Year 2. By Year 4 or 5 in the University depending on when the University write their council exams you can then write your exams and get your RN(Registered Nurse) Certificate and also RPHN(Registered Public Health Nurse) certificate. The one located at Azare, Bauchi offers B.sc Nursing but not the one at Otukpo.

For an individual who has an ND from a college of health sciences (JCHEW), what category of license does he or she go for, hence there are number of license.

For JCHEW, you will get a practising license as a Community Health Worker.
You would not get a Nursing license except if you gain admission via Direct Entry to the University.
