Once the message has been successfully sent, you will immediately get an SMS containing a UPC (unique porting code) linked with the request you made to port your Vodafone number to Airtel.
- Then you will have to visit the nearest Airtel shop with your unique porting code.
You will be assisted with the paperwork once you visit the Airtel shop by the customer service representative. Documents such as drivers’ licenses, Aadhar cards, PAN cards, and a few other documents may be requested.
Once your verification is successful, you will be asked to pay a portability charge.
Finally, the representative in the Airtel office will give you a new SIM card after finishing the MNP process.

First, make sure you download the AirtelThanks application on your mobile device from the Google Playstore.
- Open the app and tap on the icon that says, “PORT-IN.”
- Select the plan and click on the type of porting option you need (prepaid or postpaid).
- A new page will open and ask for confirmation of your address.
- Once the address has been confirmed, Airtel will send an executive representative to your home to collect the essential documents and give you the new sim card.
- Listen to the executive instructions by inserting the new sim and following the activation process.
How to Port Vodafone to Airtel Via the Airtel Website
You can visit the Airtel website for information on porting your Vodafone number to Airtel. All you need to do is to submit a request to port your number to Airtel and select the date and packages for calls that satisfy your needs. You also have the choice of selecting a prepaid or postpaid plan.
You will be asked to provide a few details, such as your name, phone number, and your full home address. Once you fill out the forms, you will patiently wait for an Airtel representative to contact you when your SIM card will be delivered.
