DESOPADEC stands for Delta state oil producing area development commission. We wish to use this medium to formally inform all students and undergraduates of Delta state origin that the application portal is now open for all interested applicants.
Please note that 100 level students are not allowed to participate; you should be at 200 level and above in any recognized institution.
Criteria for Eligibility
- Applications must come from the DESOPADEC mandate area. That is, they must be either Ijaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo, Ika, Isoko or Ndokwa.
- They must be Students currently in School, either University or Polytechnic in Nigeria.
- They must be from 200 Level and above and
- They must be full-time University or Polytechnic Undergraduates in Nigeria.
Documents to Upload
- A recent Passport Photograph
- Student ID Card
- Letter of Admission
- Local Government of Origin Identification Certificate
- A letter of Identification from the Student Union Chapter President of their Ethnic Nationality.

Why is there favoritism in payment, I have registered for two years I wasn’t payed, when I inquired some person’s that were paid Said they send their details to their persons who are working up there.the payment is nolonger about qualifications and eligibility. It has become partial.

For example, from the Urhobo Student Union Association.

A letter of recommendation is a requirement for the DESOPADEC bursary application.
