Display and Design

You’ll surely fall in love with the Tecno Spark 5’s screen. It is 6.6 inches long with a 720 × 1600pixels HD+ Dot-in display. It has a 480nits brightness, 3D body radian, and a 90.2 percent screen-to-body ratio.

At the top left corner of the screen is the front-facing camera so there’ll be little or no disturbance or distractions.

The Tecno Spark 5 also features Dark theme so you get to control the lightness of your screen and use it based on your needs. Moreso, Spark 5 also sports a wide full-screen experience.

The rear side (back of the phone) looks just like that of Infinix Hot 9. There’s a square camera module that houses a quad-camera setup and the camera flash. Also, there’s a capacitive fingerprint sensor and the Tecno branding that it’s a Tecno phone.

Cameras

The Tecno Spark 5 Cameras are practically nothing to be really wowed about, most especially if you are coming from its predecessor(Spark 4). Its features are pretty much almost the same.

On the rear side, include a 13MP primary camera, a 2MP depth camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a QVGA camera. It is capable of shooting 720p and 1080p videos at 1080p. There’s Baldo the HDR and Panorama mode for taking photos.

Something I also love about the Camera is the Wider AI Bokeh effect. It’s really nice to see that the Bokeh has an upgrade, so your portraits get a better focus and processing.

Battery

The Tecno Spark 5 has a powerful 5000mAh that powers it, and that is just nuts. After putting the device under extensive use and test, I must say that it really tried. Having revealed how it went, we’d sure love to hear your thoughts, if it did well or flopped.

The phone comes with a Smart Power Saving feature called Battery Lab. Fully charged, after playing games, streamed videos on both Netflix and YouTube, while streaming music on Boomplay at the same time. It ran for approximately 21 hours before dying. For a 5000mAh battery, that’s a cool threshold, especially with the way it was pushed to the limit.

Tecno Spark 5’s Whatsapp Features

The new Tecno Spark 5 comes with a couple of cool features that are designed specifically for WhatsApp. The first one is Social Turbo. It’s called a Whatsapp Assistant Box which allows you to make your own emojis and stickers, save WhatsApp status of people with the normal WhatsApp (without using status savers). Also, when having a WhatsApp video call at night, you would be able to turn on the front flash. There’s also the Video Chat Beauty Mode which when receiving a WhatsApp video call, allows you to be able to edit the looks as ou would after taking pictures with your normal camera
